Within the framework of REFORLEB project and in line with WP3 (Participatory socioeconomic development planning & implementation), one income generating initiative is identified by the community and requested with the relevant capacity building activities and is implemented in Ainata Al arz.
The objectives of this activity are to:
- Create a new income generating activity
- Complete the integration of the reforestation activity within the community activities/aspiration
- Provide new skills to young volunteers
The project supported the young generation of Ainata in developing sustainable tourism activities through the implementation of one hiking trail. The trail is 8 km long and crosses through several historical and archeological sites related to Ainata’s history. It ends at the Ainata’s spring which is considered the highest spring in Lebanon and the seco sourcend for pota ble water.
